1973: "Frederick Bahr, the original owner, was a native of West Prussia who settled in Walker's Point in 1857 and established a grocery business soon after. This building, which accommodated both his store and residence, was finished the year before his death. It is an especially ornamental late Victorian design.
Alterations and Additions (as of 1973):
There have been no important alterations in or on this building in its history, beyond remodeling of the street fronts on the first story."
