Additional Information: | 2013- "This one and one-half story, frame house is very similar to the one at 110 8th Street North [16667], and appears to date from ca. 1900. It is set on a foundation coated with smooth stucco, and is topped with an asphalt-shingled hip-with-deck roof. This house is also finished with narrow clapboards, and trimmed with corner and bracketed cornice boards. A hip-with-deck wall dormer with returned eaves and bracketed cornices is found on the west-facing (front) facade. A pair of double-hung windows with a Queen Anne multi- pane upper sash is centered in the dormer. A 1950s door can be seen in the off-center, enclosed entry porch, which exhibits a bracketed cornice, and closed pediment. A flight of wooden steps with a railing and balustrade with turned baluster (post-1995) leads up to the front door. Most of the windows in the house are 1/1 sash, in pairs or groups of three." - "Wisconsin Rapids Sidewalk and Crossing Improvements and Education Program", WisDOT ID #69999-07-17/77, Prepared by Elizabeth L. Miller (2013). |
