NOTES
Additional Information:2013- "Immanuel Lutheran Church is a brick, front-gabled, Neo-Gothic Revival building with a square corner tower. All the roofs
are surfaced with asphalt shingles. Erected in 1909 (cornerstone), the building originally faced 8th Street North. In 1972
(cornerstone), a large addition was constructed across the west-facing (front) facade, and the principal entrance was relocated to the
north-facing (side) facade. The 8th Street North facade presently consists of a one-story shed-roofed 1972 addition (an enclosed
vestibule), which blends into a side-gabled, two-story, 1972 addition that extends south of the original church. The 1972 shed-roofed
section features a series of three-part windows, set at least 10 feet above the street. At the south end of the 1972 side-gabled section, a
pointed-arch entrance and a slender bell tower appear. This section appears to hold living quarters. Above the roofline of the 1972
shed-roofed, the gable end of the original building and the upper portion of the tower can be seen. The gable end exhibits the upper
part of a large, pointed-arch window with leaded-glass, and a corbelled brick cornice. The tower possesses engaged corner buttresses
trimmed with stone, pointed-arch window with leaded glass (west and north faces), decorative brickwork at the cornice, and a copper
steeple (pre-dating 1995).

The primary entrance (1972) stands toward the west end of the north-facing facade. It is composed of a slightly projecting, enclosed
entrance porch with a flat canopy. The north-facing facade features a series of engaged buttresses, framing pointed-arch leaded glass
windows, and a corbelled brick cornice. The interior was not accessible."
