Additional Information: | The Waukesha Asbestos building reflects the popularity of Tudor inspired designs in the 1930's. Dominating the design is a broad gable, decorated with halftimbering (with stucco in the interstices) and curvilinear patterns on the bargeboards. A small oriel is centered in the gable end. Directly below this, on the first story is the main entrance, with stone surround. Large display windows, composed of small panes flank the door. The first story is veneered with brick. 2014: Front display windows since replaced. |
