Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. The house was built c. 1919 by the Ketcham family. They added a rear addition in 1931. Also on the property: wet boathouse (c. 1929), guest cabin (c. 1957), a bunkhouse (aka Honeymoon Hut, c. 1929), and a footbridge (c. 1929). The Ketcham family sold the property to Crane Packing Co (Chicago) in 1954 which used it as an executives' retreat until 1994. A guest cabin had been constructed on the mainland and brought over to the island at that time. In 1994, it was sold to the Hammes family who operated a resort. They sold to the Maloney family in 2007 when it became the Angler's Isle Resort. |
