NOTES
Additional Information:2011- This one-story commercial building is located on the southwest corner of the Osseo Road/Whitehall Road intersection.
Erected ca. 1940, it is built of scored concrete block that has been painted a deep orange color. The hipped,
gable roof is covered with asphalt shingles. Stone veneer has recently been applied to the walls, and the original
windows and doors have been replaced.

According to the current owner, the building originally housed a gas station. It currently serves as office space and the
exterior has been remodeled to match the owner's house, located directly at the rear of the property. The 1901 Standard
Atlas of Trempealeau County indicates B. Lisowski as the owner of the parcel on which the building now sits. At the time,
the parcel included 10.5 acres. A check of Ancestry.com revealed no pertinent information for "B. Lisowski." No other
early maps and atlases of Trempealeau County indicate landowners and/or buildings located within the village limits, and
the early twentieth century Sanborn maps do not extend to this area.

The building no longer functions as a gas station, and no longer reflects its historic use or associations. The building is proposed for demolition as part of this project.
