Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the State Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation. PARTIALLY FUNDED BY CARNEGIE FOUNDATION. $20,000 was received from Carnegie and $2,000 from public donations to construct the building. The property it sits on was purchased from Martin Pattison. The Superior Public Library relocated to 1530 Tower Avenue in January of 1992. The old library building at 2306 E. Fifth Street was then sold to a private owner, who has plans to convert it into a residence and an antique shop. (A). In 1999, it is a private residence.
