PAIRED TRANSOMED WINDOWS W/ORNATE TERRA COTTA SURROUNDS. 2ND FLR WINDOWS W/SWAG MOTIFS IN MOULDED TERRA COTTA LINTELS. ORNATE TERRA COTTA BELT COURSE UNDER PLAIN BRICK PARAPET. ORIGINAL ORNATE ENTRANCE W/LARGE CONSOLED PANEL W/ROUND WINDOW. Built by the Land & River Improvement Co. and investor W.H. Folsom for New York. The building was designed as an office and apartment building and housed the NW Hanna Coal Company, a furniture store, the Wisconsin Highway Department and several smaller offices and organizations. Th building became the Superior offices on the Burlington Northern Railroad in 1980. |
