Additional Information: | 2011- "This 2 1/2 story Colonial Revival house was constructed c.1910 and currently functions as the Sacred Heart Congregation parsonage. The house has a brick foundation, brick walls, and an asphalt-shingled hipped roof. The front elevation faces south and is symmetrical in plan with a central doorway (with fanlight above) that is accessed via a flat-roofed portico. The portico is supported by pairs of Tuscan columns at each corner. Pairs of 6-over-6 double-hung windows with stone sills are located throughout the first and second stories. First story windows have simple horizontal stone crowns with enlarged keystone details. Flared arcaded wing walls protrude from the east and west corners of the building, although the east wing wall contains a true arched opening while the west wing wall contains only the outline of an opening. A Palladian window dormer is located in the center of the roof of the front elevation." -"STH 38/Northwestern Ave/State St", WisDOT #2290-17-00, Prepared by GLARC (Gail Klein), (2011). |
