Additional Information: | 2011- "This 1-story Craftsman-style clubhouse is located adjacent to the tennis courts on the grounds of the Racine Country Club. The clubhouse was constructed c.1929. The building is irregular in plan with a concrete foundation, glass and stucco walls, and an asphalt-shingled front-gable roof. The front elevation of the building faces northeast; the northeast wall is constructed of steel and glass so that it provides an unobstructed view of the two adjacent tennis courts outside. The roof has wide overhanging eaves with decorative brackets below the gables. A wide exterior chimney is located in the center of the rear elevation." -"STH 38/Northwestern Ave/State St", WisDOT #2290-17-00, Prepared by GLARC (Gail Klein), (2011). |
