SIMPLE BARGEBOARDS IN GABLES AND DORMER [Date Cnst:(RON LARSON)]. 2016- "This is a fine example of the Bungalow style with stucco veneer that was built by Albert Harrison of Cottage Grove for Napolean Olson. Olson's brother Julius who was McFarland's blacksmith, had a similar house built in 1915 at 5707 Wisconsin Street. The lumber for this house came from the Brittingham and Hixon lumber yard in Cottage Grove. Charles Anderson bought the house from Olson in 1922 but sold it the following year to T. I. [Bert] Ottum. Erling and Alice Olson bought the house in 1954. It is now owned by Marshal and Lindsey Charlesworth." -"Historic McFarland: A Walking Tour" booklet, Third printing, published by the McFarland Historical Society, (March 2016). 2021 - Appearance unchanged.
