NAER INVENTORY (07/1979): This building was erected in 1906 by John Roffers as the Iron and Steel Gate Company where they manufactured dairy barn equipment. From 1911-1919 it was Western Steel and Iron Works. In 1920 Hudson manufacturing took over and remained there until 1964. From 1964 to 1968 the building was vacant. In 1969 the office for Badger Wood Product Inc., Carpet Crafts, Inc. (office) and Independant Printing Co. Inc. moved in. At this point the building was subdivided. Both offices relocated before 1972. Independant Printing Co. Inc. expanded to the entire building in 1972. The buidling is constructed of brick and has a flat roof. The center portion of the building has a gabled roof. The facade has been remodeled. |
