Additional Information: | WIDE OVERHANGING BRACKETED EAVES [Date Cnst:(RON LARSON)] 2016- "This is a good example of the Bungalow style featuring a large front porch, wide projecting roof and stucco veneer. It was built by Lewis Harrison for Julius Olson, McFarland's blacksmith. Edwin Hosel bought the house in 1924 and sold it five years later to Peter Evenson, operator of the feed mill. The house remained in the Evenson family until the 1960's. In 1973, Ronald and Mary Lee Zimmerman sold the property to Glenn and Meg Nielsen, who raised their family here." -"Historic McFarland: A Walking Tour" booklet, Third printing, published by the McFarland Historical Society, (March 2016). |
