2016- "This is an excellent example of an unaltered vernaculr gabled-ell style house. The exterior probably looks the same as when O.T. Olson lived here. Olson was a bachelor who lived here with his mother. He was McFarland's depot agent. Frank and Betty Hrovat raised a family here and the house is now owned by their children, Jerrold, Sandra and Jeanne Hrovat, Judith Larson and Catherine Schwabauer."
-"Historic McFarland: A Walking Tour" booklet, Third printing, published by the McFarland Historical Society, (March 2016).
