Additional Information: [Date Cnst:ca (PS MAps)] This two story frame Gabled Ell house features an L-shaped plan configuration (with additions), a clapboard exterior, a wood trim and an asphalt shingled multi-gabled roof. A one story frame wing is attached at the side elevation. The larger, two story section has retained its Italianate features. Currently being used as a two unit apartment, the structure was owned by James J. Condon et al in 1982. The building is in good condition. Historical Statement: This house was built in about 1865. (See Bib. Ref. A). Its first recorded owner was E. L. Chase, whose name is not listed in the City Directories. The house was later owned by Patric Kavanaugh, an employee of the Janesville Coal Company.
