Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. This one-story astylistic utilitarian oil house features a rectangular shaped plan configuration, a concrete foundation, a drop siding exterior, wood trim, and an asphalt shingled gable roof. A repainting took place in 1984, and a re-roofing took place in 1990. The building is in good condition. The Ladysmith Ranger Station oil house has functioned as storage unit for oil, flamables, paint and grease since its date of construction in 1937. Other buildings related to this structure include a ranger station, a storage building, and two garages. (See Map Codes 16/15, 16/16, 16/17). |
