Additional Information: | A 'site file' titled "Underwood Creek Parkway" exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. 2011- Hansen Golf Course was established along the Underwood Creek Parkway in 1952 and named for George Hansen. The golf course was expanded and improved in 1979. The course features gravel golf cart paths in the front nine holes and paved paths in the back nine. Small, wood pedestrian bridges are located throughout the course. The manicured greens are broken by areas of deciduous and caniferous trees. A four-span concrete bridge supported on round concrete piers provides access to holes #12 and #13. The Hansen Park Golf Course was established in 1952 as a public course within the Underwood Creek Parkway. The small 18-hole course crosses both Underwood Creek and the Menomonee River. The resources of the Hansen Park Golf Course were completed from 1952 to the late 1970s and include the clubhouse, constructed in 1954, a maintenance building, maintenance garage, four sheds, a couple of pedestrian bridges, pedestrian tunnel, and the course itself. |
