NOTES
Additional Information:2011-
Following the period of considerable federal funding, the County Park Commission added a new lighted ball
field to the parkway, now known as the Kinnickinnic Sports Center. The sports center is located at the eastern
edge of the parkway on South 20th Street. Work on the sports center continued from 1948 through 1950 with the addition of a parking lot, dugouts for the ball field, new bleachers, and complete ball field landscaping. The Sports Center has two baseball diamonds, a basketball court, modern playground, maintenance building, and concession stand. The Sports Center is part of the Kinnickinnic River Parkway.
