Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. The original structure of the hotel was built in 1899 but parts of it were destroyed in a 1920 fire. The current appearance of the building is a result of remodeling after the fire. This facade dates to approximately 1928. BRICK PILASTERS W/PRAIRIE SCHOOL GEOMETRIC TRIM. PARAPET W/STEPPED CENTRAL PORTION AND TERRA COTTA COPING. TRANSOMED ENTRANCE. BRICK WALL PANELING. TERRA COTTA SILLS.
