NOTES
Additional Information:2011-
Lake Michigan Parkway South was part of Charles Whitnall's county parkway plan in 1923. However, the plan was not included in the Park Commission Annual Report text until 1927. The parkway plan connected South Shore Park to Grant Park, along the Lake Michigan shoreline and South Lake Drive between East Russell Avenue to Hawthorne Avenue. The parkway connects with the Oak Creek Parkway and includes the parks of Grant, Sheridan, Warnimont, South Shore, and Cupertino.
