Additional Information: | The Gruett Drug Company is significant under Criterion C as a good example of commercial vernacular architecture in Merrill. This building is a contributing resource in the West Main Street Commercial Historic District. The Gruett Drug Company was constructed in 1919, with Gruett's Hall on the second floor. By 1925 Koloff, Krueger and Company Dry Goods store were located at this address, and stayed until at least 1945. Re-surveyed in 2005. Shed-roofed canopy added to the first story facade and the retail front is encased in vinyl siding. |
