NOTES
Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the State Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation. This one-story astylistic utilitarian storage building features a rectangular shaped plan configuration, a concrete foundation, a wood frame construction, a clapboard exterior, a wood trim, and an asphalt shingled gable roof. A dormer intersects with the roof in the attic story. Description of Complex: The Crystal Springs Rearing Station (33 11E-36) is located in County Route A, north of Antigo on the east branch of the Eau Claire River in Langlade County. This facility is presenty not a rearing station, since the DNr ceased its operation. The buildings which still exist include two storage buildings (both constructed in 1938) and a residence (constructed in 1936). Even though the storage buildings are not used, they are generally in average condition. They are constructed with clapboard and are painted with a pale adam green paint with white wood trim. The other building is a side-gabled residence painted in the same colors. The residence is in good condition, but the raceways have been destroyed, and are in very poor condition.
