Additional Information: | One-and-one-half story Cape Cod residence with a steeply-pitched cross-gable roof and original wide-lap clapboard siding. Features a single projecting front gable dormer on the facade, eight-over-eight double-hung windows, a large multi-light picture window, a central entry within the cross gable with a fluted door surround and cornice, a wide interior chimney, and a wrought-iron railing along the concrete entry stoop. Built into a hill, a one-car garage is incorporated into the basement level of the residence and has a permastone veneer. The architect of this house was Albert Buechner of Shorewood Hills. Ted Hubin was the manager of the Parkside Food Market and he did much of the construction work himself. |
