Additional Information: | 2013- "This 1-story Contemporary tavern was constructed in 1966. It is irregular in plan with composition board, vinyl sided, and stone veneered walls and an irregular asphalt-shingled roof. The front elevation faces southeast and is asymmetrical in plan. A wide stone-veneered chimney is located near the center of the elevation and divides a low-pitched gable roofline into separate sections, one of which protrudes further than the other. Decorative projecting rafter ends are located just below the roofline. Just north of the chimney is a bank of nine single-pane windows. Stone veneer runs across the bottom third of the fagade. The primary entrance is located on the northeast side of the building. A recently constructed patio area has been added to the southwest side of the building; the patio is enclosed by a concrete block/cast stone wall that is connected to the building. The building's interior consists of a large barroom with an adjacent pool room." - "STH 36/W Loomis Rd", WisDOT ID #2240-14-00, Prepared by Gail Klein (2013). |
