It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. Demolition order has been stayed. Peters was the widow of a wealthy New York state attorney.[A] VERY LARGE SPRAWLING BLDG VARYING FROM 2-4 STORIES TALL ROUND WINDOWS IN EYEBROW DORMERS FRENCH PROVINCIAL INFLUENCE MONUMENTAL IONIC PORTICO W/COLUMNS AND PILASTERS VERY LARGE CUPOLA W/NARROW DOME ROUND ARCH WINDOWS SITE OF MENOMONEE INDIAN TAKE- The Neo-Classical Revival Style Peters Mansion was built in 1939-1940, and the much large Georgian Revival Style novitiate portion was attached to it sometime later. The novitiate portion, however, was demolished between 1992 and 2005, leaving the Peters Mansion intact. The Mansion portion is believed to be still extant in 2021.
