| Additional Information: | 2020: Located on the same parcel as AHI# 8840; aerial photos suggest that the gatehouse was constructed at approximately the same time as the main house. The gate house mirrors the Georgian Revival style of the main house. It is irregular in plan with red brick walls and an asphalt-shingled side-gabled roof with a dentilated cornice. The front elevation faces north and is largely symmetrical in plan with a front-gabled entry bay projecting from the center of the façade. The entry bay features a round window under the gable, slight eave returns, and brick quoins at the front corners. A metal-clad, hipped roof shelters the front entrance. Windows throughout are 6-over-6 double-hung with two round-arched dormers located in the front roof slope on each side of the front entry bay. 2022: Appearance unchanged. |
