Assessor notes a 1925 date of construction; however, Goldman did not purchase the lot until late 1925 (The Shorewood Radio, 4 December 1925, p6) and the plans were not drawn until March 1926. "Buys Lake Drive Home," a photo and caption of the house is in the Milwaukee Sentinel, 19 July 1931. the caption cites the home as that of Leo Goldman, with Mrs. Carl Herzfeld being the purchaser of the home. Original plans for the house, dated March 1926, are on file at the Wisconsin Architectural Archive, Milwaukee Public (Central) Library.
