| Additional Information: | The Caretaker’s Cottage is one-story, T-plan, cross-gabled vernacular building consists of an east-facing front-gabled main block and a side-gabled ell on the north elevation. A portion of the building is c.1900 and was originally a barge-borne cook shack. The cottage has a concrete block foundation and is clad in vinyl siding. The moderately-pitched roof has raked eaves and is covered with asphalt shingles. Most window openings contain wood single-light casement sash in various configurations, with the exception of the paired one-over-one, double hung units to the left of the main entrance in the front gable. |
