NOTES
Additional Information:The Rummel Cottage was built in 1966 on the site of the cottage built for J.P. Reeves in 1922, which was destroyed by fire. The house is a two-story, side-gabled, Contemporary frame residence with a saltbox roof and full-width enclosed front porch on the south elevation. The foundation is a combination of stone, poured concrete, and concrete block, and the walls are clad in wide clapboard. The asphalt roof has broad, overhanging eaves with open soffits, and the north eave features exposed rafter tails. A small side-gabled addition is located to the rear of the east elevation. Fenestration is regular, with full-height aluminum sliding sash on the main elevation and two- and three-part aluminum sliding sash elsewhere. Two sheds are located at the rear of the house; one is a small shed-roofed structure clad in vertical board, while the other is a larger side-gabled structure set on concrete block footings and clad with plywood.
