Additional Information:Charles S. Greenwood was born in the Town of Lake Mills in 1875, the son of Charles F. and Ida M. Greenwood. He graduated from Lake Mills High School in 1892, after which he attended the University of Wisconsin to study law. After his graduation in 1899, he established a law office in the City of Lake Mills. In 1901, Charles S. Greenwood married Minerva Prescott. At that time, the couple built a house on north shore of Rock Lake at W7994 County Highway B in the Town of Lake Mills. He later became a director of his family’s Greenwood State Bank. Charles S. Greenwood was a member of the Lake Mills Methodist Church, Lake Mills Masonic Lodge, Waterloo Chapter R. A. M., Watertown commandery, and the Consistory and Mystic Shrine of Milwaukee. Beginning in 1907, he served as a member of the Jefferson County board of supervisors and was also a member of the school board.
