Additional Information: | Unusual building with all first floor windows having segmental arched openings and cut stone sills as in most typical brick front gabled farm houses in Green Bay of this period. This particular example has wide polygonal hip roof bays across the front and the west facing ells with gable roofed, clapboard sided dormers above. These bays both have paired windows under a single large segmental arch in the center of the bay. The rear ell has long shed roofed dormers on both sides of its gable roof which are probably later additions reflecting the building's conversion into apartments. Both dormers are clapboard sided. The original wraparound veranda has also been removed and a porch has been added. Green Bay Intensive Survey Phases 2, 3 & 4 |
