Additional Information: | This c.1920 house is a later addition to its surroundings in the village of Silver Creek. Of the Bungalow style, the one-and-a-half-story frame house sits on a concrete block foundation. The house is side gabled with a symmetrical facade and features a large single, central gable dormer window with decorative brackets. The house is clad with composite shingle siding and has original double-hung windows. The roof is clad with asphalt shingles and terminates in exposed rafters tails. The gable roof extends over a front, full-width, screened porch facing the roadway to complete the rectangular plan. This porch has a low-arched opening on all three sides. Subsequent additions have occurred at the rear of the house and many original materials have been replaced or refinished. |
