It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. Bernard E. Darling was born in Winnebago County in 1903. He was drafted by the Green Bay Packers to play the center position in 1927. He helped the Packers win three consecutive championships in 1929, 1930, and 1931. After retiring in 1931, he became a member of the Packers Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Also in 1931, he married his wife, Florence.

Bernard Darling passed away in 1968.
