| Additional Information: | 2012- This large, three-story-tall, rectilinear plan, glass and concrete-clad Contemporary Style office building has a main facade that faces east onto Hammond Ave. and it was built between 1955 and 1972 according to Sanborn-Perris maps. The building is free-standing, it sits on tall, raised foundation walls that encloses a full basement story that is partially exposed on the west-facing rear elevation, and each of the elevations that rest on this foundation are treated in the same way; the first two stories are clad in a steel or aluminum and glass curtain wall while the third story overhangs the first two stories, it is clad in pre-cast concrete panels, and is supported by a regular series of two-story-tall steel posts that create a colonnade that encircles the building. The building is highly intact and is in excellent condition -"USH 2 (Belknap St.)" WisDOT ID #8680-00-01 (71), Prepared by Timothy F. Heggland (MAP) (2012). |
