Additional Information: | 2013- "Kohls Community Funeral Home was built in 1961. The Colonial Revival-style building is H-shaped in plan and is clad in brick. The two projecting bays at either end are treated as pavilions and have flat corner pilasters and decorative shingles in the front-facing gables. A flat-roofed porch with paired square columns and a geometric balustrade is located at the front entry. Windows are four-over-four double hungs with fixed shutters; several windows openings in the side and rear elevations are similar in size but are filled with glass block instead of operable sashes. The front door has a large art glass panel and is flanked by art glass sidelights." - "STH 49/Main Street", WisDOT ID #6090-06-03/75, Prepared by Justin Miller for GLARC, Inc (2012). |
