Additional Information: | 2015- "This farmstead includes a house (224950), three historic outbuildings (a summer kitchen (224951), small animal barn (224952) and agricultural complex (224953)), and a modem silo and corncrib. The astylistic utilitarian agricultural complex (AHI #224953) was constructed circa 1900. The complex is irregular in plan with vertical board walls and asphalt-shingle roof. The complex is comprised of three connected wings. The central portion resembles a basement bam with a field stone foundation, vertical board walls and an asphalt-shingle roof. There are small windows in the gables of the east and west elevations. A glass block window is present at the basement level of the east elevation. At the south elevation, there are two sliding bam doors at the upper level and a glass block window at the basement level. A basement bam addition was constructed perpendicular to the main mass at the east end of the north elevation with a field stone foundation, vertical board walls, and an asphalt-shingle roof. There are sliding bam doors at the intersection of these wings at the upper level and at the basement level. A 1-story addition was adjoined to the west elevation with vertical board walls and a metal gable roof." - "Eagle Drive to STH 181 Survey," WisDOT ID #2310-14-00, Prepared by Megan Daniels and Justin Miller - UWM CRM (2015). |
