Additional Information: | Fish camp operated by Charlie Benson from 1936 until 1942. Benson initally took up residence in a cabin built in the 1920s by the Bayfield Fish Company (contributing). The year following his arrival to Rocky Island, Benson build the main family cabin (contributing). He also built a small fish house with an attached lean-to sauna (contributing). Another cabin was built in the mid-1930s as a hired-man's quarters (contributing). In the 1940s, Charlie's son Fred Benson built a wood frame summer cottage (contributing). Also in the camp: three privies (one contributing, two non-contributing), a dock (contributing), and three wooden skiffs (all contributing).
