Additional Information: | The first cabin was constructed by Olaf Edwards and sons (contributing). A second cabin, called "Norman's Cabin" (contributing), was orginally constructed in the 1880s or 1890s at Anderson Bay on Stockton Island by the Boothe Fisheries Company. By 1903, it was occupied by Norwegian immigrants, John and Andrea Nelson. The Nelsons moved the cabin to another bay on Stockton Island in 1920. Their son Julian Nelson moved it to Rocky Island in 1947. It was moved to its current location in 2001. Two non-contributing structures are located on the property including a relatively new privy and a pre-fabricated, metal storage shed which was moved from another property. |
