Additional Information: | RUSTICATED MONUMENTAL IONIC PILSTERS SUPPORT MOULDED AND DENTILLED CORNICE FLUTEDIONIC PILASTERS FLANK TRANSOMED AND SIDELIGHTED DOORDOOR W/ MOULDED CORNICEDOOR AND WINDOW W/ ROMAN WINDOW TRANSOMS 1 STORY CONTEMPORARY SIDE ADDITION 2022 Resurveyed - The two-story, Neoclassical Revival, State Bank of Florence was constructed c.1915. It has brick cladding and a concrete-block foundation. It has a flat roof of unknown material and has brick parapets on all four elevations. Windows are metal, replacement, one-over-one, double-hung sash. The front (north) facade contains rusticated concrete ionic pilasters that support a molded and dentilled cornice. The main entrance, which is centrally located, contains a modern full-light door with a transom and sidelights. The entrance is flanked by fluted Ionic pilasters that are topped by a molded cornice. Above the cornice is a nameplate engraved with the words “State Bank of Florence.” East of the central entrance is a modern entrance not original to the building. There is a large, contemporary, one-story addition at the east elevation that now serves as the primary entrance. |
