Additional Information: | THIS HOUSE IS REPORTED TO BE A "SEARS" CATALOG HOUSE AND IF SO, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN AN EARLY EXAMPLE. LOCAL BUILDER M. H. ANSLEY WAS REPORTED IN THE PRESS AROUND THIS TIME AS HAVING ACQUIRED A CONCRETE BLOCK MACHINE AND WAS PRODUCING THESE BUIDLING MATERIALS. HE IS SAID TO HAVE BEEN INTERESTED IN BUILDING AN ENTIRE HOUSE OF CONCRETE BLOCKS. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT ANSLEY HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF THIS HOUSE, PERHAPS USING SEARS CATALOG MATERIALS. |
