Additional Information: | This 1-story Ranch house was constructed in 1965. It is L-shaped in plan with stone veneer walls and an asphalt shingled side-gabled roof. The front elevation faces north and is asymmetrical in plan with two single-car garage bays at the eastern end. West of this is a single doorway, a small pair of single-pane casement windows, two banks of three picture windows with hopper windows below, a recessed front porch, and another bank of three picture windows with hopper windows below. The front porch has a brick veneered half wall with a built-in planter and an angled corner wall that is wider at the top than at the bottom. The porch is accessed from its eastern side. A wide stone-veneered chimney protrudes from the center of the roof peak. The building is in good condition and retains a high degree of integrity. The house displays the low-pitched roof, wide chimney, angled porch support detail, and built-in planter associated with mid-century Ranch architecture, and is a fairly typical example of the style. |
