Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property under the name "Shaw Point Historic District." It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. The oldest section of the granary is a small, log, root cellar, which was constructed by Frank Shaw. Burt Hill expanded the structure into a two-story, wood-framed building. The first floor was used as a granary, while the second story was a sleeping loft for boarders or fishermen who rented the dock. The building is currently used for storage and as a seasonal residence. |
