Additional Information: | The newly-inventoried farmstead consists of a house [229622], a dairy barn [229623], tobacco barn [229624], a chicken coop [229625], a granary [229626], and a storage shed [229627]. The tobacco bam (AHI #229624) is a long, narrow gabled structure located northwest of the house. Two large sliding doors on the east-facing elevation appear to be the only means of entrance or egress. The bam is clad in vertical board siding and a metal roof. The house likely dates to ca. 1890, and the barns and granary likely date to the turn of the century, ca. 1900. The chicken coop and storage shed appear to have been built at a later date, ca. 1930. |
