Assessor’s records indicate that the house was built in 1947 and available city directories identify the home’s first known owner (in 1952) as Frank B. Wilcox. However, by 1955, the owner was listed as Donald B. and LaVern Meeusen. The Meeusens wed in 1948 and had two children. Donald died in 1976 and LaVern, a teacher, remained in the home until her death in 2007.
