Additional Information: | This Split-Level house was constructed circa 1960. It is rectangular in plan with a low-pitched asphalt-shingled roof. The roof is comprised of multi-level gables with deep-set eaves supported by plain brackets. The front elevation faces south and contains three visible levels. The lowest level is an integrated garage that is clad in a stone veneer with two horizontal sliding windows. The second level is clad in wide wooden clapboards and is fronted by a porch covered by the deep eave of the roof. Simple square wooden posts support the porch, with each bay containing a shallow arch trim at the top. The front facade of the second levels contains a large picture window and the main entrance, with a monumental stone chimney at the west end. A short stone retaining wall has been built several feet in front of the porch. The third level is slightly cantilevered over the garage and is clad in shingles. Two bays of diamond-paned casement windows are centered in the shallow gable, with a bracketed wooden lintel extending underneath both bays. 2019: No apparent exterior changes. |
