NOTES
Additional Information:Built in 1919, Emil F. and Elizabeth A. (Erdmann) Deuster purchased this house as a retirement residence. Born in Milwaukee in 1860, Deuster worked for the post office, the city water department and was a city alderman for six years before becoming in 1897 the owner of Royal Laundry. The company merged in 1904 with Reliance Laundry and he became the vice president of the consolidated endeavor. Deuster died in about 1930 and his wife continued to live in the house with her son Daniel, who was the secretary/treasurer of the Rhode, Deuster & Hinckley Oil Company. The younger Deuster passed way in 1945 after which time the house was sold to Edward Schwabe.

2015- "Rising one-and-one-half-stories, this side-gabled, brick bungalow features open headboard eaves and exposed rafter tails. The main (south) facade displays a gabled wall dormer whose western roof slope extends to merge with the gabled roof of the enclosed entry porch. The main entrance is located in a large segmentally arched opening outfitted with a door and multiple-paned sidelights; access is gained via a concrete stoop guarded by a modern wooden railing. A second segmentally arched opening is on the second floor of the main fas;ade and it is filled with three double-hung sashes. Remaining fenestration generally consists of one-over-one, double-hung sashes arranged in groups of two, three and four.

This home was built in 1919 and was soon sold as a retirement residence to Emil F. and Elizabeth A. (Erdmann) Deuster.
