NOTES
Additional Information:This Contemporary Style, Split-Level house is sheathed with both a stone veneer and board siding and features wide overhanging eaves with exposed rafter trim. A two-story and largely front-gabled block is located to the east, from which extends a one-story wing that is comprised primarily of windows; a gabled entry is located at the juncture of the two wings. Windows throughout the house are comprised of either sliders—some of which feature diamond paning—or what appear to be casement examples.

Built in 1960 in the Elm Grove Highlands subdivision (in the Village of Elm Grove), the home’s first and only owners are Morrie and Patsy Halvorsen. The house was custom-built for the Halvorsens by Tri-Level Homes, Inc., later known as Modern American Homes, the firm of which was headed by John Vishnevsky. From 1978 to 2000, Morrie Halvorsen served as the Executive Director of the Specialty Tools and Fasteners Distributors Association. In 1991, the Halvorsens added a dining room to the rear (north side) of the house.
