Additional Information: | 2016- "This farmstead consists of a house, garage, and three sheds. The buildings are grouped around a driveway on the north side of STH 154. Built c.1890, the farmhouse is a modest two-story frame gable ell that rests on a stone foundation. The roof is covered in asphalt shingles and features an interior brick chimney. The walls are clad in asphalt shingles. A gable wall dormer is centered over the hip roof porch located in the ell. Porch details include turned wood posts and spandrels. Two wood-panel doors with single fixed pane windows provide access to the interior on the front (south) elevation. Windows are one-over-one, double-hung sash and one fixed-frame picture window. A historic-age addition is located at the rear (north) elevation. The outbuildings were built over time with construction dates from c.1920 to the present day. A c.1920 small frame vernacular shed is located west of the farmhouse facing the east side of the driveway. The side gable roof is covered in asphalt shingles, the walls are clad in shiplap, and the windows are covered in plywood. A modern front gable garage is located west of the house and driveway. The roof is covered in asphalt shingles, the walls are clad in vinyl siding, and the door is an overhead modern retractable garage door. A large c.1940 equipment shed is located west of the farmhouse and south of the garage. The front gable roof is clad in oxidized metal roofing, and the walls are clad in vertical modern metal siding, and a pair of sliding barn doors provide access on the east elevation. A c.1935 concrete block shed is located west of the house and just north of the garage. This side-gable shed faces south, with a modern metal roof and weathered clapboard in the gable ends. The door is wooden, and windows are multi-pane fixed." - "STH 154, West County Line to STH 23", WISDot #5070-01-01, Prepared by Mead & Hunt, Inc. (2016). |
