Additional Information: | The Blessed Sacrament Church was constructed in 1907 in a modest Tudor Revival style. It is irregular in plan with walls clad in stucco and vinyl siding, and an asphalt-shingled gable roof. The building consists of four distinct masses: the original 1907 church and attached parsonage, a c.1945 meeting hall addition*, a post-1951 garage addition to the north elevation of the original church building, and a post-1951, flat-roofed addition that spans the façade of the meeting hall and projects slightly in front of the 1907 mass. The original church building, the garage, and the newer flat-roofed addition are clad in stucco while the meeting hall building mass is clad in vinyl siding. The front elevation faces east and is asymmetrical in plan. The façade of the flat-roofed addition contains four regularly-spaced 1-over-1 windows and an at-grade entrance (a metal door with narrow sidelights and a small upper window) that is sheltered by a cantilevered gable with triangular brackets. The façade of the original church building is set back slightly from the flat-roofed addition and consists of a wide concrete stoop with newer metal railings that leads to a pair of metal doors. The doors are sheltered by a large cantilevered gable with arched brackets at each end. Above this is a bank of three small stained-glass windows that are covered by nearly opaque storm windows. A small area of decorative half-timbering is located below the gable end, and above this, an unornamented steeple rises from a squared frame base. The interior of the church was not available for viewing at the time of survey. *The meeting hall was initially constructed as a separate building prior to 1936, and was enlarged and joined to the south side of the parsonage wing in about 1945.
