Additional Information: | James R. Long designed and built this house in 1978 on farmland that he grew up on. Long was born in 1939 on a 220-acre farm and became an attorney. 2016- "Irregularly cut limestone blocks covers this two-story, side-gabled, Neo-Tudor Revival-style house. Prominent stone wall chimneys define each endwall and the upper story is covered with wood trim and stucco to create a half-timber effect. A projecting gabled block is attached to the main (north) facade and its roof line extends to create an overhang over the main entrance. A one-story, gabled garage wing is attached to the west elevation. Meanwhile, windows appear be multi-light casements with thin (perhaps snap-in) muntins arranged in pairs and groups of three and four. James R. Long designed and built this house in 1978 on farmland that he grew up on. Long was born in 1939 on a 220- acre farm and became an attorney. He continues to own the property." -"W. Spencer St: S. Mayflower Rd. (west) to S. Casaloma Dr. (east)", WisDOT#4657-25-00, Prepared by Heritage Research, Ltd. (2016). |
